The perfect place to take a date for a light dinner before a night on the town. As a barn and carriage house, the dining room was used as a horse stable with a hay loft overhead. The space was also a butcher’s shop and slaughterhouse in the 1950’s as well as a Volkswagen mechanic in the 1970’s and 80’s. For more information call (785) 766-8591.

Merchants Pub & Plate

Merchants is owned and operated by locals Chef TK and Emily Peterson, who have a passion for supporting their local community. It all starts with the menu – they work with their neighbors to bring the best of what's locally available to the table for a great meal.

The menu is full of familiar dishes, reimagined through the Merchants lens of seasonal local + flexible + fun. The bar program is anchored by 30 craft beers on tap and supported by a solid wine list and seasonal, hand-crafted cocktails. A great place for a nice dinner out or date night.
