KHI Holiday Party - Dec. 3, 2022
This year's KHI holiday party was held at the Jayhawk Club, in Lawrence on December 3. Thirty-one staff and friends enjoyed great food and a fun gift exchange. Thank you Lyndsey for organizing the evening.
Cowley Data Walk Project Dec. 8, 2022
Samiyah would like to thank and recognize everyone who was involved in the Cowley County Data Walk Project. The project team analyzed data and designed 16 posters and a summary handout of findings for the event. Tatiana and Samiyah had the opportunity to drive down to Arkansas City to participate in the data walk.
Cowley County was very happy with the final product. Ed O’Malley, President and CEO of the Kansas Health Foundation, facilitated the event and praised KHI’s work.
A huge thank you to Angela, Kaci, Stewart, Cathy, Miranda, Wen-Chieh and Tatiana for their work on this project, which would not have been possible without them. A special thanks goes to Stewart for his amazing design skills and work bringing the analysis to life on a quick timeline.
Stakeholders at the event were incredibly appreciative of the posters and Cowley County has people lining up to display the posters at their own upcoming events for further opportunities to discuss this data in the community.
New Staff Outing to the Capitol - Nov. 7
To welcome new October KHI staff members, a group of adventurers went on the tour of the Capitol and dome. The dome tour climbs 11 flights of stairs and goes outside at the top. These brave KHI staffers made it to the top. The Capitol tour covers Kansas history, the layout of the building, how to get through security, how to find Room 112 N, and other practical points of visiting the Capitol. Valentina, Kaci, Kevin, Emma and Phillip all climbed to the top, along with Cynthia, who was taking photos.
