Lyndsey and Family Travel to the Outer Banks
Lyndsey and 33 of her close family members traveled to Kill Devil Hills in Outer Banks, NC, to celebrate a family reunion and a postponed wedding reception.
Most of them shared a huge, beautiful 12-bedroom house with heated pool, hot tub and direct ocean access. Everyone gathered on the beach, and although too cold to really swim, had to get their feet wet!
Some of the sights they visited were the lost colony of Roanoke, Cape Hatteras Lighthouse (the tallest in the US) and Virginia Beach, all with a 2-year-old and 2-month-old in tow! Also, lots of seafood!
Stewart & Michele’s Caribbean Cruise
Following a short stop outside of Houston, Texas, for an overdue family reunion with Stewart’s aunts and uncles, he and Michele took off to Galveston for seven fun-filled, sun-filled days aboard the Carnival Vista!
.... After some rain and storms and two “fun-filled days at sea,” as well as an emergency stop in Cozumel for an ailing passenger and her mother, the two arrived in Honduras where they were whisked away by bus to a private beach. There were hammocks and swings in the ocean and drinks were included, as well as lobster for lunch.
Their second port-of-call was Belize — a short, shopping day. But after returning to Cozumel, Stewart and Michele ditched the bus and took a speed boat to another private beach.
The trip back — another couple of fun-filled days at sea — included a strong storm that delayed arrival to Galveston by almost three hours. One passenger said it was the worst she had seen in 12 years of cruising. ‘Bags' were taped at all the elevators and some outside decks were closed due to high winds. But the two survived and plan on returning in the near future!
