For me (Sydney), staying active in the winter is much harder, but I’ve found a few ways to beat the winter doldrums. Check out a few ideas for getting active at home, even when it’s cold.
Free workout classes with minimal equipment
There’s a plethora of free workout classes online these days, with many that require minimal (if any) equipment. A few options below.
Local: Genesis Health Clubs has been posting tons of free online classes since the start of the pandemic. Check them out here.
HIIT: Head over to PopSugar’s YouTube page for all kinds of HIIT, Zumba and strength classes. Guaranteed to get you sweating!
Yoga: A YouTube favorite, check out Yoga with Adriene for classes that range from beginner’s level to advanced, with a host of videos targeted to specific parts of the body. Or, head over to DoYogaWithMe.com for even more free content, including videos with different breath techniques.
