ICYMI: July All-Staff Updates

Updated: Jul 11, 2021

President’s Report

  • Kansas Health Foundation: It was announced recently that Chris Power, VP at KHF, was assigned project officer for the KHI grant. He joined Teresa Miller, KHF President and CEO, on a visit to KHI July 6.

  • KHI Board of Directors meeting is July 20. We look forward to featuring our projects during breakout sessions and to all staff having an opportunity to participate in the meeting at different times in the agenda.

Admin Updates

  • Fill out your Form Cs – This is an important step to take prior to the Form P so we can get those hours allocated to staff who are preparing the proposal.

  • Friendly reminder about Timesheets – Submit them before you take vacation if you are going to be out when the timesheets are due. If you haven’t already, download the Replicon app on your phone and/or personal computer for easy entry of your time. Timesheets are due by 2 PM on the 2nd business day after the pay period closes.

  • Paychecks are now electronic – Go to your PayChex Flex account at https://www.paychex.com/login/flex to see paychecks, review your deductions and access other account information.

  • Life Insurance – This is the time of year when you need to review your beneficiary and make any necessary changes. This is with Advance Insurance Company of Kansas. If anyone wants to change their beneficiary on their life insurance, call Nancy for the form, and once you complete it send it back to Nancy for further processing.

Tech Tip

  • It is important to restart your computers on Fridays. Do not Shut Down, however! Use Restart so the computer can process all the necessary updates it needs.

Equity Learning Lab

  • We’ve received comments from the external experts on our Equity Continuum Plan. Those comments will be incorporated by the Core team and shared with all KHI staff for further input and support with the activities.

  • Thank you for your continued involvement in the process. Kari is the new lead for KHI’s ELL initiative, and we will be inviting additional staff to join the Core team. Stay tuned!

Website Design Project

  • We’re excited to announce that KHI has kicked off a website project that will improve our online presence, expand the reach of our content, and further engage those interested in improving the health of Kansans. We look forward to your input into this important communication and engagement tool. More details will be provided this summer.

Celebrations

Office Reopening

  • Our schedule for working in the office on Mondays and Wednesdays has proven successful so far! Though COVID-19 vaccines are widely available, we remain vigilant in our protective measures against the virus.

  • We will request staff input on our more permanent return-to-office schedule through another survey toward the end of August.
