Staff Out and About — Sunflower Foundation

Recently, our project team for the Sunflower Foundation NGO Survey (Bob, Phillip and Ehi) visited the Sunflower Foundation’s new nonprofit center on the former Menninger campus. And even more recently, the Communications team visited the campus to see their meeting rooms and meet with the director of their nonprofit center to exchange lessons learned on event marketing, audio and visual equipment and event space management.

The Menninger campus refers to the Menninger Foundation that was founded in 1919 as a clinic and school of psychiatry, among other services. It moved from Topeka to Houston, TX, in 2003 where it remains a clinic for the treatment of mental illness.

We were impressed with how the Sunflower Foundation restored and renovated the two buildings that were previously scheduled to be demolished. Read more here: https://www.kansasnonprofitcenter.org/
